Svätyňa Ómiwa

Svätyňa Ómiwa sa nachádza v oblasti Sakurai v prefektúre Nara a je považovaná za jednu z najstarších, ak nie úplne najstaršiu svätyňu v Japonsku vôbec. Žiaľ, jej presný vek nie je známy. Samotná oblasť Sakurai a Asuka sú označované ako kolíska japonskej civilizácie a nájdete tu mnoho starodávnych chrámov, svätýň, hrobov a kamenných monumentov. Práve v tejto oblasti prví japonskí cisári zakladali svoje hlavné mestá.
